Sangh Parivar slandering Dravidian Movement: Udhyanidhi Stalin

On January 10, Minister for Sports Development and Youth Welfare, Udhayanidhi Stalin, participated in the DMK’s NRI wing meeting. Speaking at the event, Udhayanidhi said, “Youngsters today are largely dependent on social media to understand Tamil Nadu’s politics. On social media, supporters of the Sangh Parivar are consistently slandering the Dravidian Movement. But it is not just the supporters of the fascist BJP [who are slandering the Dravidian Movement].

It is being done in the name of caste and religion, and sometimes even by those who claim to speak for Tamil identity.

No matter how many masks they wear, we don’t need those to thwart their plans. Periyar’s face, Anna’s written words and Kalaignar’s speeches are enough.”
He also said that nine books had been released on the Dravidian movement to counter misinformation.

“On behalf of the youth wing, we have released 9 books about the Dravidian Movement. Please read them and gift them to people,” said the DMK leader.

Lauding the efforts of the DMK’s NRI wing, the Sports Minister wrote on his social media handle on X (formerly Twitter), “In this special event held at Rayappettai in #ChepaukTriplicane block, we highlighted and addressed the humanitarian work of the Aayalaka team, which supports the rescue of Tamils who are suffering in foreign countries and bring them home. In particular, we appreciated the comrades of the Ayalak team who are fighting the slanders spread abroad against the Dravidian movement under the guise of religion-caste-language.”

“May the work of the Aayalaka team, which has formed an organization in 37 countries in three years – become the hope of Tamils living abroad!”

he added. In the last few days, the Sports Minister has not just been busy with the upcoming Khelo India games but also distributing the recently-announced Pongal gift by DMK leader and TN CM MK Stalin in his Chepauk Triplicane constituency.
