Police apprehended a caretaker identified as Deepak, a resident of Abhepur Ashiana village in District Panchkula, for the alleged theft of a gold chain and locket. Deepak was taken into custody, and upon a search, law enforcement recovered a broken locket and gold chain from his possession.
It was revealed that the accused, Deepak, had a prior record, with a theft case already registered against him at Police Station-Sector-5, Panchkula. The arrest was made following a complaint lodged by Meenal Mehra, residing at Apt, 23, Block-A, Uppal Marble Arch, Sector-13, Manimajra, Chandigarh.
According to the complaint, Meenal Mehra accused the caretaker, Deepak, of stealing a gold chain belonging to her father, along with a locket and some cash from their residence. In response to the complaint, the police initiated an investigation, forming a special team that successfully apprehended the accused.
The recovered items, including the broken locket and gold chain, will be crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation. Deepak now faces charges related to the recent theft, and further legal proceedings are expected in the case.
