State govt elevates Indira Rasoi to Shree Annapurna Rasoi, price unchanged

In accordance with Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s directives, the Autonomous Government Department has officially changed the name of Indira Rasoi to Shree Annapurna Rasoi, with corresponding orders issued on Saturday night. The alteration will reflect on the online portal as well.
Under the new orders, the per capita diet has been augmented, now offering 600 grams compared to the previous 450 grams. The revised meal includes 300 grams of chapati, 100 grams of dal, 100 grams of rice, millet, khichdi, and pickle.
To accommodate the increased diet without burdening kitchen operators, the grant amount has also been raised from Rs 17 to Rs 22. The cost of food remains unchanged at Rs 8. Additionally, a heightened monitoring system will be implemented to ensure food quality, as per the Chief Minister’s instructions.
Furthermore, a reassessment of the number and location of kitchens is underway. Currently, there are a thousand operational kitchens in Rajasthan, with plans to optimize their placement for better utility. All concerned bodies have been instructed to submit proposals within 15 days to address the need for additional kitchens in specific areas.
