IAS Vijay Dahiya, involved in the corruption case in Haryana, has been transferred again after just 5 days. He was appointed Commissioner of Karnal Division of CM Manohar Lal’s city in the recent transfer list. However, now he was removed from there and appointed as Commissioner and Secretary of the Archives Department.

While the famous IAS Ashok Khemka posted on this post will remain the ACS of the Archives Department. In place of Dahiya, IAS Renu S Phulia has now been given the charge of Commissioner of Karnal along with Ambala Division.

IAS Vijay Dahiya has been accused by ACB in the case of taking bribes in exchange for payment of bills in Haryana Skill Development Corporation. Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau had arrested Vijay Dahiya from Panchkula on October 10 last year. After being produced in the court, Dahiya was sent to jail. Where he remained in jail in judicial custody for 14 days. However, Vijay Dahiya was granted regular bail by the Panchkula district court.

In this case, ACB had arrested a woman named Poonam Chopra on 20 April 2023. Instead of passing a bill of Rs 50 lakh, he had taken Rs 5 lakh in 2 instalments. After interrogating him, his link was found to IAS Vijay Dahiya. Poonam Chopra had said during interrogation that she had to give the bribe amount to Vijay Dahiya. Dahiya was the commissioner of the Skill Development Corporation at that time. After which ACB named Dahiya in the case and arrested him. This entire matter was complained about by Rinku Manchanda of Fatehabad.
