An incident involving an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) creating a ruckus under the influence of alcohol has come to light in Khanna. The inebriated ASI even openly abused his own station house officer, a video of which went viral on social media. Consequently, a departmental inquiry against the ASI has been initiated.
According to the information, ASI Surajdeen from the city police station was found to have consumed alcohol while on duty, a complaint that reached SHO Hemant Malhotra. He took the station in-charge along to have ASI Surajdeen undergo a medical examination at the civil hospital. The ASI created quite a scene even in the emergency ward. Moreover, he behaved inappropriately with the station house officer. The situation escalated to the point of physical altercation, prompting DSP Rajesh Kumar to arrive at the scene and bring the situation under control.”
