Complete Bureaucratic Reshuffle likely after Department Allocation

While the top echelons of Rajasthan’s bureaucracy have already seen changes, the complete picture of the bureaucracy is expected to transform as soon as the allocation of portfolios, or departments, takes place among the ministers.

As soon as the departments are allocated, the list of IAS officers will be released within a few hours, including changes to Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and collectors from certain districts. Officers are currently in contact with ministers to secure favorable postings, and everyone is eagerly awaiting the allocation of departments.

Although the new Chief Secretary of the bureaucracy, Sudhansh Pant, is likely to desire a team that can help achieve the government’s defined goals, his retirement scheduled for 2027 might lead him to remain Chief Secretary for an extended period. Therefore, he aims to advance with a strong bureaucratic team to accomplish the government’s objectives. In this regard, there will be detailed discussions between the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary before finalizing the list.

To Avoid Conflict Situations
It is worth mentioning that during Congress’s rule, there were several instances of disputes between ministers and officials, resulting in the transfer of many officers to central postings. Even the then Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant had a dispute with the then Tourism Minister Mahesh Joshi, leading to Pant’s transfer. In the present scenario, the government seeks to maintain harmony between ministers and officers to ensure smooth governance without disruptions.
