Veer Bal Diwas Message: Union Minister Anurag Thakur Urges Youth to Say No to Drugs

Union Minister Anurag Thakur encouraged the nation’s youth to embrace sports, abstain from drugs, and support the Fit India campaign on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas. As he honored Sahibzadas’ sacrifice, Thakur underlined the value of ridding India of drugs and the lessons that today’s youth can learn from their fortitude.

Prime Minister Modi’s appeal for young people to abandon drug addiction and participate in digital and physical activities through MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) at mybharat.gov.in was emphasized by Thakur. He emphasized that the health of India’s youth is closely related to the country’s progress.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve, Thakur shared his commitment to working for ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) under the leadership of PM Modi. PM Modi, addressing the event, underscored the pride in India’s heritage and the growing global recognition of the country.

Noting the significance of ‘Veer Bal Diwas,’ commemorating the martyrdom of Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised their unmatched valor and sacrifice against the brutal Mughal rule. He emphasized that their sacrifice continues to inspire future generations.

December 26 was declared ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ by PM Modi on the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on January 9, 2022, to honor the martyrdom of his sons.
