Following the emergence of COVID-19 cases in Haryana, the Health Department has heightened its vigilance. With the escalating number of cases, the department is gearing up to initiate preparations for conducting genome sequencing tests at the Rohtak Lab. Randeep Punia, the Director General of Health (DGHS), has directed all districts to maintain a state of heightened alertness in response to this development.

Instructions have been given to conduct RTPCR test of patients suffering from cold or cough.The Health DG will hold a meeting with officials of all the districts to take stock of the preparations and situation. In this meeting, health officers of the districts will connect with the headquarters through video conferencing.Home and Health Minister Anil Vij is also keeping an eye on the preparations. He has given strict instructions to the health department officials regarding Covid. This is the reason why now more than 2 thousand tests are being conducted daily. Till now there are 6 active cases of Covid in Haryana, which have been kept in home isolation.

Fortunately, there hasn’t been confirmation of the presence of the new variant JN.1 among them yet. Health department officials have forwarded all these questionable samples for testing. There’s an expectation that the results might arrive from Delhi by Tuesday.

According to Health Department officials, mild Covid symptoms have been found in the positive people who have come to Haryana so far. He has now been kept in home isolation. According to Health Department officials, 87 suspected patients have been identified, whose samples have been sent for testing. Of these, 19 patients are waiting for their test results. Officials say that no case has yet been reported in the state regarding the new variant of Corona. However, the health department is fully prepared for every difficult moment.

The government has decided that RTPCR test will be done for patients with influenza-like illness (ILI) and severe acute respiratory infection (SARI). In the meeting he suggested that RTPCR test should be mandatory in such cases. State Home and Health Minister Anil Vij says that Covid-19 should be declared a notified disease so that if any case comes in private hospitals, they can inform the CMO and government hospitals.
