India Women posted their highest ever score on Saturday and continue to dominate Australia at lunch on the third day of the Test Match. Harmanpreet Kaurand’s side dismissed, 406/10. Australia’s bowling picked up three quick wickets to end India and the first Test match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Annabel Sutherland scalped two wickets and bowled Pooja Vastrakar (47 runs off 126 balls) and Renuka Singh (8 runs off 9 balls). Kim Garth picked Deepti Sharma (78 runs 171 balls) at the crease for a crucial wicket. On the other hand, Australian openers Beth Mooney (33 off 37 balls) and Phoebe Litchfield (18 off 44 balls) could not stay short for long at the start of their second innings.

Richa Ghosh drove in Mooney in the 12th inning. Although Sneh Rana removed Litchfield in the 14th over. Ellyse Perry and Tahlia McGrath lead the Australian batting line-up in their second innings, taking the visitors to 63/2 at lunch.

India posted a total of 376/7 on Friday, with Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar unbeaten on 70 (147)* and 33 (115)* respectively. Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh dominated the Australian bowlers with the bat, while Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar struck late to strengthen the hosts’ position on a difficult surface.
