The Election Commission of India is actively raising awareness about EVMs and VVPATs among voters to familiarize them with the voting process for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

The objective is to inform voters about how to cast their votes using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines.
This campaign aims to address the ongoing misconception, circulating on social media, regarding potential technical glitches in EVMs.

To mitigate this misinformation, the Election Commission of India has launched this initiative.
“A service center has been set up in the Bathinda court complex with a booth to demonstrate to people how they can cast their votes using EVMs. There’s a noticeable enthusiasm among the locals, expressing optimism about this positive initiative,” said Suresh Goyal, Official from the Election Commission of India
