In a significant operation, the City Firozpur Police have apprehended four individuals involved in the theft and illicit sale of fertilizer packets from goods trains, specifically under the Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) category. The culprits, identified as Sachin (son of Chacha), Rahul (son of Prem), Gurjant (son of Kala), and Raju alias Madari (son of Daulat Vas) from Basti Awa, were caught with eight bundles of stolen manure.
ASI Sharma Singh provided details, stating that during routine patrolling near Firozpur city, the police received confidential information regarding the involvement of the mentioned individuals in stealing fertilizer packets from a special train destined for Firozpur city. The stolen goods were allegedly sold to Raju alias Madari. Acting swiftly on the provided information, the police conducted a raid resulting in the arrest of the suspects. Eight stolen bales of D.A.P. fertilizer were recovered during the operation. The City Firozpur Police have registered a case against the apprehended individuals, who are currently undergoing interrogation to gather further details about the illicit operation.
