The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the drug racket, led by ADGP Mukhwinder Singh Chhina, had summoned former MLA and BJP leader Amarpal Singh Boni Ajnala to appear today. However, Ajnala did not appear before the SIT. In this case, the SIT has again summoned former minister Bikram Singh Majithia to appear on December 18. According to SIT, new evidence has emerged in this case, warranting further investigation. Ajnala cited prior commitments for his absence and informed the SIT accordingly. ADGP Mukhwinder Singh Chhina stated that Ajnala’s busy schedule prevented his participation, leading to a re-summoning.
