New leadership brings new ideas towards nation-building: joshi

New ideas and mentality are indispensable for any party to grow, and after every 20 years, the BJP is open to ushering in a generational change to march towards becoming a developed country, said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi. Speaking on the second day of the three-day Manch 23 political conclave organised by ITV Network, Joshi said he was confident that the BJP would manage to win over 350 seats in the next Lok Sabha election.“The BJP’s electoral victory is linked to the development and delivery of public welfare schemes. The opposition works for votes, but we work for the public, and voting is just a by-product,” he said.
The I.N.D.I.A bloc should understand that the people have lost faith in them, which was shown when the BJP swept three states. Modi’s guarantee has worked for them because they know that “Modi hai to Mumkin hai.” That’s how they have trusted PM Modi; he never makes any promises that he cannot fulfil, while the opposition fails to fulfil the promises they make with the voters. Like, we saw in Rajasthan where the Gehlot government for four years was busy in their infight, and Ashok Gehlot made multiple promises just six months before the election, and the voters voted them out of power. The same is the condition in other Congress-ruled states, he added.
Speaking about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for 2024, he said the BJP alone will win more than 350 seats. Because of the development and welfare schemes launched by PM Narendra Modi. He also raised a question about the INDIA bloc: how will the Samajwadi Party, which is confined to Uttar Pradesh, help the DMK in Tamil Nadu or vice versa? The alliance has been formed to gain power by the egoistic parties and not to serve people, whereas the NDA is serving people and will keep doing the same for the time to come.
He also raised an important issue regarding the coal exploration in India, which can fulfil our demand for the next 350 years, but the UPA government showed no interest in the exploration of fossil fuels in the country in abundance; rather, they set up many big thermal power plants that run largely on imported coal,
which is expensive in comparison to local mined coal. The country was in darkness for long as enough power supply to meet the demand of a large population was not fulfilled. But now we have not only fulfilled our power demand supply but are also exporting surplus power. This we have achieved, and by 2030 we will be a power surplus state.
Pralhad Joshi also criticised the Karnataka government for not fulfilling their electoral promises—the guarantees they call them. The state has no proper power supply, and farmers are getting a three-hour power supply for irrigation purposes. The same is the condition in urban areas too. CM Siddharamya has said that they lack funds for repairing roads that got damaged due to the strong monsoon this year, as the funds have been diverted for freebies. So the MLAs need to wait until April to get funds for development work in their constituencies.
On the security breach incident in the parliament yesterday, Joshi, who is also the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, said we had a brief meeting regarding this with the PM and Lok Sabha Speaker, and instructions to tighten security in the parliament have been given and will ensure that such an unfortunate incident is not repeated in the future.
