Mohan Yadav, the newly elected Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, thanked both the state and central leadership for their confidence in him. He pledged to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him with zeal, emphasizing his commitment.

“I am a humble worker for the party. I express my heartfelt thanks to all of you, including the state and central leadership. With your affection and backing, I am committed to fulfilling my responsibilities,” affirmed CM-designate Mohan Yadav.

Yadav, a former cabinet minister in the Madhya Pradesh government under Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s leadership, is the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) chosen candidate for the Chief Ministerial role. The state will witness Jagdisgh Devda and Rajesh Shukla serving as the Deputy Chief Ministers, while former Union Minister Narendra Tomar will assume the important role of Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker.

Yadav’s political journey started in 2013 when he became an MLA for the first time from the Ujjain Dakshin constituency. He retained his position in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, representing the same constituency.

Earlier today, BJP’s central observers Manohar Lal Khattar, Dr. K Laxman, and Asha Lakra held a legislative party meeting in Madhya Pradesh, finalizing the decision on the state’s new leadership.

The Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, held on November 17 with 230 seats at stake, culminated in a resounding victory for the BJP, securing 163 seats. The Congress trailed far behind with 66 seats, marking a significant turn in the state’s political landscape after nearly two decades of a different ruling party.
