The Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena will hold a memorial service for Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the chief who was killed, on Sunday at 11 a.m. at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. Three gunmen shot Gogamedi dead on December 5 at his home in Jaipur’s Shyam Nagar neighbourhood. After the killings, two of the gunmen—Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathod—left the scene, and the third, Naveen Shekhawat, was shot and killed in a shootout with the police.

One of Gogamedi’s security guards was injured in the crossfire, as per the police.
Earlier, on Sunday, the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police, in a joint operation with Rajasthan Police, detained three persons, including two absconding accused, from Chandigarh in connection with the murder of the Karni Sena chief.
The police confirmed that Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji were among those arrested during the joint operation.
All three accused were brought to Delhi, the officials informed.

Ramveer Singh, a Mahendragarh, Haryana, resident, was previously detained by Jaipur police on Saturday, December 9, in relation to the murder of Gogamedi. The Jaipur Police commissioner stated in an official statement that Ramveer had assisted one of the attackers, Nitin Fauji, during the course of the investigation. He continued, saying that on November 9, Fauji and his companions opened fire on the Mahendragarh Police Station Sadar officers before running away. On November 19, during this time, Fauji sent his friend Ramveer to Jaipur.
