Pro Kabaddi League: UP Yoddhas Eager for Maiden Victory, Prepares to Clash Against Haryana Steelers

The UP Yoddhas, competing in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), are gearing up to face the Haryana Steelers in their upcoming match scheduled to be held at The Arena at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Currently positioned seventh in the league standings with one point, the Yoddhas narrowly missed victory against U Mumba in their season opener, losing by just three points. In the history of the Pro Kabaddi League, UP Yoddhas and Haryana Steelers have clashed eight times, with both teams securing three victories each and two games resulting in a tie.

Expressing confidence in bouncing back from their initial loss, Jasveer Singh, the head coach of UP Yoddhas, emphasized the team’s determination not to repeat past mistakes. Singh highlighted the team’s strong camaraderie and collective effort, which he believes will be evident on the mat during the game against Haryana Steelers.

Experienced raider Surender Gill, along with Anil Kumar, who showcased a commendable performance in his debut match for UP Yoddhas, contributed significantly in scoring raid points and aim to continue their positive start in the league. The team’s captain, Pardeep Narwal, currently seeking to regain form, aims to change his luck in the upcoming match. All-rounders Nitin Panwar and Vijay Malik are entrusted with maintaining a balanced approach in both raiding and defensive roles.

Haryana Steelers, taking to the mat for the first time this season, will face a challenge against UP Yoddhas. The clash between these two North Indian teams is anticipated to be an enthralling and competitive affair.
