The assassination of Karni Sena Chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi in Jaipur on Tuesday sparked widespread outrage among Rajputs, prompting calls for a state-wide bandh. The Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena Chief was fatally shot by unidentified assailants, sparking outrage and calls for harsh punishment for the perpetrators.

Bhawani Singh Kalvi, son of Karni Sena founder Lokendra Singh Kalvi, demanded immediate action in the case, emphasizing that the public outcry would continue until the perpetrators were apprehended. Kalvi emphasized the importance of party leaders working together across political lines, as well as the community’s expectation that the government act quickly and effectively.

Expressing dismay over the incident, protester Kalyan Singh Jadhav condemned the Rajasthan government, labeling the incident a severe indictment of the state administration. Jadhav affirmed that protests would persist until justice prevailed and the guilty were held accountable.

During the uproar, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla criticized the Gehlot government’s security arrangements, sharing a video of Gogamedi while claiming a reduction in the victim’s security.

In response, BJP leader Diya Kumari slammed the outgoing Ashok Gehlot government, citing serious intelligence and law enforcement failures. Kumari emphasized the victim’s repeated requests for increased security, which were reportedly ignored by the state administration.

In a counterattack, Congress leader Pramod Tiwari blamed the newly elected BJP government, calling into question the implications of this incident under their leadership.

Rajasthan’s Director General of Police, Umesh Mishra, revealed ongoing raids at possible hideouts of the assailants. Mishra also disclosed that the investigation points to the involvement of the Rohit Godara gang, promising imminent arrests.

The incident has triggered a heated political debate, while the pursuit of justice remains paramount in the wake of this tragic loss.
