An encounter took place between the police and miscreants in Mohali, adjacent to Chandigarh. Firing took place from both sides in Badmajra village. The miscreants were bringing a stolen vehicle from Amritsar to Mohali last night. Meanwhile, the police surrounded them. After which miscreants fired at the police. After retaliating, the miscreants escaped leaving the Audi car on the spot.
After receiving the information, the officials reached the spot. The surrounding area has been sealed by the police. The bad guys are being searched. The police suspect that the miscreants are hiding somewhere nearby. At the same time, CCTV footage of the accused has surfaced in which they are seen running away.
Amritsar Police Commissioner GS Bhullar said that the police team had gone after the accused since last night. The accused were first successful in breaking the Beas Naka. After this, the accused were challenged on Dhillawan road, but to escape, the accused took the car around the villages.
The police traced him and reached Garhshangar, Ropar. When the car entered Mohali, the action was taken along with the local police. Firing also took place between the police and the accused in 5 Face Market. After which the accused absconded. The police have seized the car.
CP Amritsar claims that Amritsar police teams are in Mohali under the supervision of ACP North Varinder Khosa. Inputs have also been received about the accused and soon the accused will be arrested.
On Majitha Road, a posh area of Amritsar, robbers shot the doctor’s car and escaped after midnight on Saturday. Dr. Taran Berry, a doctor at KD Hospital, was coming to drop off KD’s wife in his Audi. During this, the robbers who were chasing them started firing. Due to fear, the doctor stopped the car, with which the accused escaped.
