Another encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the village of Samnoo, situated in the southern reaches of the Kulgam district on Thursday afternoon.
According to official sources, a joint operation was launched by the Police, Army’s 34 RR, and CRPF, following specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area. The joint teams initiated a cordon and search operation to neutralize the potential threat.
As the combined forces advanced towards the suspected location, the concealed terrorists opened fire on them. The security forces promptly retaliated, leading to the initiation of an encounter in the region.
Sources indicate that two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area, setting the stage for a delicate operation as security forces work diligently to neutralize the threat and ensure the safety of the local community.
