In a bid to foster innovation and nurture creativity among the youth of Kathua district, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, successfully hosted its 3rd hands-on training program on information technology as part of an ongoing educational series. The program welcomed students from Government Higher Secondary School, Nagri Parole (Kathua), providing them with a unique opportunity to explore the Kathua Campus (JU). The primary aim of this visit was to introduce these students to a higher educational institution, broaden their horizons, and inspire them to explore vocational trades, ultimately fostering self-reliance.
Professor Arvind Jasrotia, Rector of Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, lauded this initiative, emphasizing the pivotal role of information technology awareness in today’s world. He highlighted the immense value of hands-on training for students as they embark on their future endeavors. Prof. Jasrotia also shed light on various initiatives introduced by the Government of India to promote innovation and creativity among the nation’s youth. He stressed the importance of cultivating the habit of acquiring new skills, as this contributes to structural transformation and economic growth, ultimately enhancing employability and boosting the country’s competitiveness. Jatinder Sethi, Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Nagri Parole, expressed his gratitude to Professor Arvind Jasrotia, Rector of Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, for extending this valuable opportunity to their students.
