The Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is gearing up to organize its national conference from December 7 to 10 as part of the ‘Amrit Mahotsav Year’ of ABVP. The poster for this 69th conference was launched on Thursday. The event spans four days with the theme of bringing students from all parts of the country closer together. This year, ABVP is celebrating its 75th foundation day, and this event will highlight their organisational history and the student-centric movements they lead, emphasizing their service in addressing student issues across India.
Speaking at this event, ABVP’s National General Secretary, Yagywalkya Shukla, said, “The event will focus on transformation in the education sector, highlighting topics concerning students and youth in the nation. This event will include students, teachers, and educationists from across the nation engaging in meaningful debates on various issues such as the national education policy, ABVP’s future plans, and student unions across the nation,” added Shukla.
The conference will be held at the DDA ground in Burari, Delhi, where a tent city has been built, named ‘Indraprastha Nagar.’ The main hall of this township has been named after Madan Das Dev, a former National Organising Secretary and former Seh-SarKariyawah of the RSS, while entrance gates have been named after historical figures such as Maharaja Surajmal and Maharaja Mihir Bhoj.
On the occasion of its 75th year of its organizational journey, ABVP is also organizing a ‘North East Study Tour’ from November 5 under the Student Experience in Interstate Living program. This tour will help the students better understand the cultural heritage of the North Eastern states, starting with Guwahati in Assam.
