Following the Supreme Court’s criticism of Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar for the delayed handling of disqualification petitions filed by rival factions of Shiv Sena MLAs, Narwekar held a meeting with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who leads his own faction of Shiv Sena. Narwekar clarified that the meeting had non-political purposes, focusing on discussing developmental and infrastructure projects in his constituency. One key matter discussed was the construction of a sea protection wall along the coast in Colaba.
