Tragedy struck as a man from Jalna took his own life by hanging himself from a flyover in the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.
The reason behind his extreme act was believed to be his fervent support for Maratha community reservations. The deceased, identified as Sunil Baburao Kawle, aged 35 and hailing from Ambad village in Jalna, shared his roots with the new community symbol, Manoj Jarange-Patil, according to local activists.
Upon the discovery of the lifeless body, a police team reached the scene and found a mobile phone along with a purported suicide note among the belongings of Kawle. In the heart-wrenching note, he sought forgiveness from everyone for the painful decision he felt compelled to make. Initial reports suggest that Kawle had arrived in Mumbai from Jalna, traveling through Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, late on Tuesday. On the fateful night, he chose a spot on the Bandra east flyover to take his own life, leaving behind a community grappling with the complex issue of reservations. Leaders of the Maratha Kranti Morcha, Virendra Pawar and Vinod Patil, expressed deep sorrow over Kawle’s tragic end.
