The Assembly elections are nearing, and the political parties have started announcing the names of their candidates. In this regard, the Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) announced the names of its candidates for nine seats on Monday. The state president of the party, Velaram Ghogra, revealed that preparations for contesting elections are not limited to just the Wagad region but extend to other districts of the state as well.
While releasing the initial list, the Bharatiya Tribal Party named candidates for nine seats. Devchand Mavi from Kushalgarh in Banswara district, Basant Garsia from Gidora (Banswara), Ranchhor Tabiyar from Chorasi (Dungarpur), Praveen Parmar from Kherwada (Udaipur), Dev Damor from Jhadol (Udaipur), Prakash Kharaadi from Salumbar (Udaipur), Tagaram Bhil from Shiv (Barmer), Mugalram from Bali (Pali), and Rajkumar Kataria from Morthala (Jhalawar) have been named as candidates. It’s worth mentioning that in the 2018 elections, the Bharatiya Adivasi Party and the Bharatiya Tribal Party caused significant losses to the Congress in terms of votes. In 2018, the BTP won two seats.
