The Israeli military’s three-hour ultimatum for a secure corridor in northern Gaza, permitting residents to relocate to the ostensibly safer southern region, concluded at 3:30 pm. Presently, Israeli forces await political leadership’s decision regarding a potential all-out ground offensive, notwithstanding ongoing localized raids on the Gaza Strip.
In a recent statement on X, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) clarified their commitment to not conducting operations on this corridor between 10 am and 1 pm. The IDF urged residents of Gaza City and northern Gaza, emphasizing the relocation to the southern area for safety during this window. The IDF underscored the importance of the safety of Gaza residents and their families, assuring them that no operations would occur along the specified route during the designated time frame of 10 am to 1 pm. The IDF implored residents to take advantage of this opportunity to move southward. Accompanying this, the IDF asserted that Hamas leaders had secured their own safety and that of their families. Simultaneously, Israeli forces released photos claiming to depict Hamas preventing people from traveling to southern Gaza, accusing the group of employing human shields. Amidst these developments, Israeli forces stand poised for a potential ground invasion of Gaza, aiming to dismantle Hamas, the group responsible for a devastating attack.
