Ex-CM questions Rahul’s caste, slams Chhattisgarh’s corruption

As the upcoming Chhattisgarh legislative assembly elections draw closer, political leaders from various factions have commenced their state tours. Jharkhand’s former Chief Minister, Raghubar Das, while on his visit to Chhattisgarh’s Manendragarh and Bharatpur, took a halt in Jashpur. Addressing journalists at a local resthouse, Das aimed a salvo at both Jharkhand’s Hemant Soren government and the Congress administration in Chhattisgarh. He further raised questions concerning Rahul Gandhi’s caste.
Das, while in discussion with reporters, expressed that ever since Narendra Modi assumed the role of Prime Minister, the nation has seen remarkable growth. The BJP, according to him, is uniting the country. However, he lamented that opposition parties, not content with this, are trying to belittle the Prime Minister on an international stage. Das didn’t stop there; he accused both the Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh governments of being corrupt and involved in commission scams. He particularly targeted the Congress regime in Chhattisgarh, stating it leads in corruption. Highlighting scandals like the coal and sand scams, Das also introduced allegations of a new ‘manure scam’ under Chhattisgarh’s Bhupesh Baghel administration. He claimed that the state government is deceiving farmers by forcing them to purchase compost mixed with soil. Further, he accused the Chief Minister of failing to establish any industries or dams in his constituency, leading to a lack of employment opportunities.
Das asserted that under the Congress-led Chhattisgarh government, unemployment, corruption, hunger, and crime have escalated.
Recognizing the actions of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the state, he remarked that several corrupt officials are currently incarcerated. Das confidently proclaimed that the people of Chhattisgarh would teach the corrupt Congress government a lesson in the upcoming elections, hoping for a BJP victory.
