On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, CM Ashok Gehlot paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi in Jaipur, stating that people should take inspiration from his life. He paid his respects at the Secretariat and the statue of Bapu located at Gandhi Circle. On this special occasion, the Chief Minister, along with other dignitaries, sat in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue at the Secretariat and listened to Gandhi Ji’s favourite bhajans, including “Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye,” “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram,” and “Ram Dhun.”
Gehlot said, “I extend my greetings to everyone on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Gandhi ji will be remembered for centuries… Our country should be proud that our Gandhi ji is one of the greatest leaders of the world and is remembered in every corner. People should take inspiration from his life.”
Earlier, he also appealed to PM Modi to study Rajasthan Government’s schemes and apply them at the Centre. CM Gehlot said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming but it would be better if he gives a guarantee that the schemes of Rajasthan will be implemented in the entire country, along with this he should also guarantee that if the government changes in the state, he will not stop our schemes.”
Addressing reporters in Bikaner, CM Gehlot said, “We appeal to the Prime Minister that we have so many good schemes, you should study them. Whatever scheme you like, implement it in the country. If we can give insurance, Old Pension scheme then why can’t centre.”
Gehlot said that Social Security and OPS should be implemented, and insurance of Rs 25 lakh should be guaranteed. He said that if needed he would send his officers so that they could implement the schemes.
Gehlot reiterated that at present there is a need to implement social security in the country.
