Shudh Dhwani: Music & dance festival held at Triveni Kala Sangam

The fifth annual music and dance festival, ‘Shudh Dhwani,’ was recently organized by the Snehalata Memorial Foundation at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi. It was a two-day Music and Dance festival.
The evening commenced with a performance by Pt. Lokesh Anand on Shehnai, accompanied by Pt. Jitendra Swain on tabla. Pt. Lokesh Anand performed Raag Shayam Kalyan. The event was followed by the next performance featuring Amjad Ali Khan on vocals, accompanied by Debasis Adhikary on Tabla and Lalit Sisodia on Harmonium. Amjad Ali Khan sang Raag Yaman.
The evening was followed by Pt. Biswajit Roychowdhury sarod recital with Ustad Akram Khan on  Tabla. Pt.Biswajit Roychowdhury played Raag Ramdasi Malhar. This classical music and dance festival mesmerized the audience on the second day.
The first performance of the Day 2 of the program was Hrishikesh Majumder on flute accompanied by Yashwant Vaishnaw on Tabla. Hrishikesh Majumder played Raag Puriya.
This was followed with Odissi dance by Priyanka Das. After that the Jugalbandi performance by was showcased by Ustad Asghar Hussain on Violin accompanied by Pt. Subrata De on Sitar, Saptak Sharma on tabla and Manohar Balatchandrine at Mridangam.
Sitar Violin Jugalbandi was accomplished by Pandit Subrata De and Asghar Hussain as the last performance of the annual festival of ‘Shudh Dhwani’.
