The case of corruption in the Jal Jeevan Mission continues to escalate.
Recently, Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena accused Jal Shakti Minister Mahesh Joshi of involvement in corruption related to tenders for JJM. On Sunday, he held another press conference at the BJP headquarters. Kirori Lal Meena stated that he is still awaiting a defamation case from Mahesh Joshi.
Not only that, he also said that all the allegations previously made against him have been proven true. Therefore, Mahesh Joshi has not filed any defamation case so far.
During the press conference, Kirori Lal Meena said that in the ongoing ED investigation into corruption cases related to the Jal Jeevan Mission, more than 10 kilograms of gold and crores of black money have been recovered. Allegations against Ganpati Tubewell and Shyam Tubewell have been proven true. He also claimed that, like these two companies, Mangilal Bishnoi, Vishnu Prakash Pungolia, and JR Infra have also obtained tenders worth hundreds of crores under false pretences in the Jal Jeevan Mission.
He has also requested the Chief Minister to investigate these three companies’
tenders.
MP Meena said that recently, the Investigation Directorate’s team conducted raids on four companies related to DTO (District Transport Office).
Nearly five kilograms of gold, 60 million rupees in cash, and documents were found among them. While making accusations, he stated that many high-ranking officers and officials connected to the Chief Minister’s office are also implicated.
Kirori Lal Meena also claimed that he has provided the ED with documents related to these meetings and that the ED has seized significant documents among those connected to the companies associated with the DTO, but not all the information has been made public. It has come to light that the documents also mention the bribe amount given to officials.
