Chandigarh has been awarded for the best and innovative state in oxygen management at the 14th conference of the Family Welfare Council, a recognition anchored in its efficient oxygen generator plant and supply system initiated during the Corona period.
Prior to this, the city had continually surpassed expectations in various metrics related to the oxygen generator plant’s operation, an effort coordinated by nodal officers of oxygen management, Dr. Manjeet Singh and Dr. Manpreet. Their strategy focused on optimal operation of the oxygen generator plants in both government and private hospitals, prioritising maximum benefit to patients through minimised oxygen wastage and audit-related standards.
Their initiative, which earned a feature in the Ministry’s Coffee Table Book, has garnered praise from the Government of India, encouraging other states to adopt Chandigarh’s successful oxygen management blueprint. This recent award recognizes not just the successful implementation strategy but also the diligent training extended to paramedical and technical staff, alongside government and private doctors, ensuring efficient and educated handling of the resources.
Dr. Manjeet attributes this honour to the commendable contributions and relentless efforts of the entire team, emphasising a collaborative spirit that fostered success.
Moreover, Chandigarh has impressed experts globally, with its study audit from the second wave of Corona finding a place in the International Journal of Post Graduate Medicine, Education, and Research, sealing its stature in efficient oxygen management both nationally and internationally.
