In Vidhyadhar Nagar Stadium, MP Bhawani Singh Beniwal issued a warning. MP Beniwal sent student leaders and party leaders to the police commissioner for discussions, in which representatives from the state, including the Minister of Higher Education and Home Affairs, Rajendra Yadav, attended.
The protest rally, demanding student union elections in Rajasthan, was organized in Jaipur’s capital. It included student leaders and activists from across the state, along with the leaders and workers from the National Loktantrik Party. The National Coordinator of the ARLP, Hanuman Beniwal, also participated in the student protest.
During the protest, Hanuman Beniwal fiercely criticized Sachin Pilot, who was being talked about extensively in recent days. Beniwal said, “In Rajasthan, even your words cannot remove a constable. In Rajasthan, you cannot even get a water tanker filled. What respect do you have left in Rajasthan? Tell me that too. Those who were around you, you’ve finished them off too. Now you’ve become a captain of your own army. You’ve consumed your own troops. Ashok Gehlot is also a captain of his own army, but Sachin Pilot is a bigger captain than him. They use people and then discard them.”
Beniwal was seen searching for his own rights among the students’ demands, as Pilot’s supporters continued to target him. Beniwal claims that he supported Pilot during the 2018 assembly elections, but now he regrets it. He stated that in a democracy, there’s only one “father,” and he humorously remarked that there are now new “mothers” in politics. He emphasized that some politicians give different statements in the morning and evening.
It’s worth mentioning that the state government decided to cancel student union elections a month ago. Since then, students have been protesting against the government. Recently, student leaders sat on a hunger strike for ten days, demanding student union elections at Rajasthan University.
