For a month now, the Sarpanch Sangh (Sarpanch Association) has been leading a protest outside the Tehsil office in Mandalgarh Block regarding the issue of including 16 Gram Panchayats from the Kachhola region into the newly formed Shahpura district.
Chandadevi, the female Sarpanch of the Manpura Gram Panchayat, addressed the villagers and stated, “If the state government doesn’t consider the patience of the people, the trust of the public will erode.” The Sangh has made a commitment to not move to the newly formed Shahpura district and is determined to fulfil it.
The local population supports the just demand of the region, and they are dedicated to not going to the newly formed Shahpura district. The elected government is testing the patience of the people. It is not appropriate for a government elected by the people to test their patience. The citizens of Bhilwara district are frustrated.
Regarding this issue, they have met with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, and representatives of the regional Congress Party have also presented their demands, but there hasn’t been a concrete response yet. Due to the continuous demonstration, there is significant discontent among women. Large numbers of villagers from 16 Gram Panchayats have been gathering at the protest site every day for a month now. Even on Wednesday, a considerable number of villagers gathered in the morning.
