In the scorching heat of Deeg, rural areas are reeling under power cuts.m BJP leader Nem Singh Faujdar, along with his supporters and locals, protested by surrounding the power department’s action office. During this protest, they symbolically burnt an effigy of Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Nem Singh Faujdar alleged that the Congress government in Rajasthan has consistently made false promises. He questioned how farmers and rural residents can benefit from 200 units of free electricity when there is no regular power supply. He further emphasized that due to a significant drop in the water level, electronic motors and submersibles are unable to function, making it impossible for villagers to access water.
Addressing the issue of frequent power cuts and irregular power supply, Nem Singh Faujdar warned that if the situation doesn’t improve from next week onwards, they will launch a major demonstration against the government. Faujdar threatened to block the Bharatpur-Alwar highway, where the action office of the power department is located. Keeping the ongoing protests in mind, the power department officials have assured that regular electricity supply will be resumed starting Monday, and there will be no power cuts.
