Kejriwal mocks Centre’s unified polls idea, supports uniform education

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal made fun of the BJP›s support for the ‹One nation, One election› idea on Sunday. He stated that what the country really requires is a system where everyone gets the same quality of education, like «one nation, one education.»
At a public event today in Haryana›s Bhiwani, Kejriwal stated, «BJP is talking about ‹one nation, one election› but we want ‹one nation, one education› where the children of rich and poor get an equal level of education.
He went on to say, «We don’t want ‘One Nation, One Election… We don’t care if there is one election or 1,000 elections.
This happened just a day after the government notified an eight-member high-level committee to explore the subject of holding simultaneous elections for the Lok Sabha, state assemblies, municipalities, and panchayats and to give suggestions as soon as possible.
Earlier today, Kejriwal took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express his doubts about the idea of ‹One Nation, One Election. He said what would be the benefit for the common people from such a setup. He compared it to other important things the country needs, like everyone having equal access to good education and healthcare. Rich or poor, everyone is treated equally under «One Nation, One Treatment.» He wrote on X in Hindi, «What will the common man get from the One Nation, One Election?»
Kejriwal, who is visiting Bhiwani with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for a party event, claimed that the people in Haryana are tired of the current government and are looking for new leadership and better facilities, which are being provided in Delhi and Punjab.
