Chandrayaan-3: Wishes pour in after India’s historic landing on Moon

India made history on Wednesday with the successful soft landing of its lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon’s south pole area. With this accomplishment, India becomes the first country to land on the Moon’s difficult south pole area.

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) announced the landing, writing, “‘India, I reached my destination and you too!’: Chandrayaan-3.”

Soon afterwards social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter flooded with the congratulatory messages as everyone came forward to extend their wishes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who witnessed the historic moment virtually from Johnsonburg penned the message as “Historic day for India’s space sector. Congratulations to @isro for the remarkable success of Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission.”

Followed by PM, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, the “new space odyssey flies India’s celestial ambitions to newer heights”.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari termed it a “beacon of inspiration for generations to come”. “Chandrayaan 3 touches down, carving India’s illustrious chapter in celestial history,” he said.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi congratulated “Team ISRO for today’s pioneering feat.”

“Chandrayaan3’s soft landing on the uncharted lunar South Pole is the result of decades of tremendous ingenuity and hard work by our scientific community. Since 1962, India’s space program has continued to scale new heights and inspire generations of young dreamers,” Rahul Gandhi said.

Congress party called it a “momentous day for 140 crore Indians as India celebrates the successful landing of Chandrayaan III”.
