Pakistan: 20 dead, 80 injured after 10 coaches of Hazara Express derail near Sindh

According to Geo News, at least 20 persons were killed and 80 others were injured on Sunday when roughly ten bogies of the Hazara Express derailed near Sahara Railway Station, 275 kilometers from Karachi.

The victims were brought to the People’s Medical Hospital in Nawabshah, Sindh, and authorities fear that more people would be injured because the ill-fated train was carrying a big number of people.

Train operations to and from Sindh’s interior districts have been interrupted, according to railway officials, who added that restoring operations could take up to 18 hours due to the time required to remove bogies from the rails.
