Srinagar: Fresh batch of pilgrims leaves for Amarnath Yatra

A new group of pilgrims set off from Pantha Chowk base camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar area towards the Amarnath cave shrine.

Pilgrims on their way to pay their respects to the cave shouted “Bam Bam Bhole!” Pilgrims will go to the Amarnath cave shrine through the twin paths of Pahalgam and Baltal. According to officials, around 3 lakh pilgrims visited the Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir during the first 21 days of the annual Yatra, which began on July 1.

Two Californians, a Ukrainian woman, 35 Nepalese, and 30 Malaysians were among the pilgrims who paid their respects at the Holy Cave of Amarnath.
