According to a report provided by the traffic Safety Foundation (RSF), 562 people were killed and 812 others were injured in 559 traffic accidents across Bangladesh in June, according to the Dhaka Tribune.

According to the statistics released on Wednesday, 169 people were killed in 207 motorbike accidents across the country, accounting for 33.75 percent of all fatalities. The report stated that 78 were women and 114 were children.

According to the Dhaka Tribune, nine people perished and seven went missing in nine canal incidents over the same period, while at least 18 people died and eleven were injured in 21 railway mishaps.

Furthermore, at least 38 sacrifice animals were died in accidents during this time period.

Furthermore, 99 pedestrians were killed in traffic incidents, accounting for 19.18% of all fatalities. According to the Dhaka Tribune, 76 drivers and their assistance were killed, accounting for 14.72 percent of all casualties.

According to the Road Safety Foundation’s observation and analysis, 247 (44.18%) of accidents happened on regional roads, 182 (32.55%) on national highways, 59 (10.55%) on rural roads, and three (0.53%) on urban roads.

On the other hand, 268 incidents occurred as a result of the driver losing control of the wheel, 109 as a result of collisions, 97 as a result of pedestrians being driven over, 72 as a result of hitting the rear side of vehicles, and 13 as a result of other reasons.

According to the Dhaka Tribune, the Road Safety Foundation compiles statistics from publications published by nine national dailies, seven online news portals, and electronic media.
