Alert for floods
In view of the warning from the meteorological department, the administration in the respective districts has also become vigilant. In flood-prone areas with sensitive embankments, 24-hour monitoring is being carried out. As per the report of the Central Water Commission, due to the rising water levels of rivers, alerts have been issued for Badaun, Shamli, Barabanki, Hapur, Kushinagar, Moradabad, Balrampur, Shahjahanpur, Farrukhabad, and Bahraich.
Chief Minister’s direct observation of the situation
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, after reviewing the situation of flood conditions in the state in view of heavy rainfall, has directed the officials to remain in alert mode for relief and rescue operations. The Chief Minister said that after heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, there is a possibility of the water level of various rivers in the state rising in the coming days, so all departments involved in rescue work will remain on high alert.
CM takes note of the death of 85 sheep
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken note of the death of 85 sheep belonging to three farmers due to lightning strikes in Chandauli. Along with the directive to provide financial assistance of four thousand rupees per sheep, the Chief Minister has also instructed the district administration to provide immediate assistance to the affected people in every possible way.
