BJP paves way for workers to assume top posts: CM Manohar Lal

Haryana’s Chief Minister Manohar Lal declared on Sunday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) remains unique in enabling even its basic-level workers to ascend to the roles of MLA, MP, Chief Minister, and Prime Minister.
During his address to party workers in Kalka assembly constituency, Lal urged them to emulate the work ethic of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to ensure yet another sweeping victory. He emphasised that the world’s eyes are on India as it strides towards a leadership role on the global stage, predicting a third term for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Highlighting past successes, Lal reminisced about the BJP forming the government with a clear majority under Modi’s stewardship in 2014 and 2019. While a similar victory was achieved at the state level in 2014, the party fell short of a majority in 2019.
“To clinch a third consecutive term in both the state and the nation in 2024, it is imperative for everyone to commence their hard work now. We aim to bridge the gap left in the last Vidhan Sabha polls and form a full majority government,” said Lal.
The Chief Minister affirmed that Modi’s leadership remains unrivalled in both India and the global stage, confidently asserting the BJP’s return to power for a third term under his guidance.
Lal used the opportunity to enumerate the development works in the Kalka Assembly Constituency, highlighting projects worth Rs. 2500 crore in the past eight and a half years. Among the key initiatives, he cited the Tikkar Tal tourism centre project and plans to expand tourism from Kalka to Kalesar, thereby increasing employment opportunities.
He informed that the forest areas of Adi Badri, Lohgarh, and Kalesar are also undergoing development. He proudly stated that his government, advocating the spirit of ‘Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek’, has successfully combated corruption and nepotism, leading to an upsurge in development work across the state.
As part of the ongoing efforts to simplify the lives of the people, Lal mentioned the introduction of online services to deliver the benefits of various schemes directly to their homes. Initiatives such as online ration cards and pensions through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model have replaced the need for citizens to visit offices for minor tasks.
Finally, expressing his commitment to the welfare of Haryana’s citizens, the Chief Minister reiterated his view of the entire state as one family, working diligently to ensure each member benefits from public welfare schemes and facilities.
