According to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who strongly criticised the previous Haryana government, the state’s former chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, presided over a 3D government, which stands for Darbari, Damad, and Dealers.
Shah was addressing a throng in Sirsa on the occasion of the Centre’s nine-year mandate under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“The Hooda government was a 3D government, which stands for Darbari, Damad, and Dealers,” Shah said, adding that the current Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has abolished all three D’s.
The Union Minister said that corruption totaling Rs. 12 lakh crores took place under the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre during his speech.
“But in the last nine years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government at the Centre, even our opposition cannot accuse PM Modi of a single corruption case. Nine years ago, terrorists from Pakistan intruded into India’s land and killed our soldiers, but the then Manmohan and Sonia government kept mum. After PM Modi’s government came to the Centre, Pakistan tried to do the same, and within 10 days we gave Pakistan a befitting reply with surgical strikes and air strikes,” he said.
Shah also made a pilgrimage to the Sirsa district Gurudwara Shri Chilla Sahib earlier in the day. In addition, he spoke at a meeting in Gurdaspur, Punjab, where he attacked the Bhagwant Mann administration.
At a gathering held in Gurdaspur, Shah mockingly referred to Mann as a travel coordinator and claimed that his only duty was to drive Kejriwal about.
He brought up Mann’s substantial engagement in accompanying Kejriwal and questioned whether he was acting in the capacity of a chief minister or a pilot.
“Punjab Chief Minister has only one job and that is to make Kejriwal tour the country. If Kejriwal wants to go to Madras, then take a plane to Delhi and take him to Chennai by plane, if Kejriwal wants to go to Kolkata, then take a plane to Delhi and take him to Kolkata. Sometimes I don’t even know whether he is the Chief Minister or a pilot,” Shah said.
As its nine-year tenure in office at the federal level draws to a close, the Bharatiya Janata Party has launched a campaign called the Jan Sampark Abhiyan, in which a number of ministers, lawmakers, and party leaders are hosting events across the country, including get-togethers with the general public and intellectuals.
The BJP is informing people of the work the Modi administration has done for various groups in accordance with PM Modi’s vision of “Sabka, Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.”
On May 26, 2014, during his first term, and on May 30, 2019, for his second term, Narendra Modi took the oath of office as prime minister.
