Renault-Nissan Add More Value To Subcompact SUV segment With New Trims

The sub 4-meter SUV segment is one of the most keenly contested in the Indian car Industry. There are many worthy contenders here and amongst these are Kiger and Magnite from the Renault-Nissan alliance. Both cars are built on the same platform and have a similar set of features but are quite distinct from each other when it comes to design. In the last few weeks both SUVs have seen an expansion in their range with the Magnite seeing a new Geza variant while the Kiger getting an affordable RXT (O) MT variant.

Magnite Geza
Edition
According to Nissan, the Magnite Geza special edition is inspired by Japanese theatre and its expressive musical themes. Based on this concept, the car offers advanced infotainment features that promise an enhanced sensory experience. The Magnite Geza comes with some premium features like a High-Resolution 22.86cm Touchscreen system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with Wireless Connectivity, Premium JBL Speakers, Trajectory Rear Camera, Ambient Lighting with App-Based Controls, Shark Fin Antenna and Premium Beige Colour Seat Upholstery. The SUV is priced at Rs. 7.39 lakh, ex-showroom and it this price comes across as a value for money trim of the car. For perspective, the most expensive Red Edition of Magnite is currently priced at Rs. 10.25 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Nissan Magnite has achieved a 4-Star Safety Rating for Adult Occupant Safety from Global NCAP. Nissan has recently enhanced the SUV by introducing additional safety features across all variants, in addition to transitioning to BS6 Phase 2 emission norms. Safety features on the car include Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The Magnite range currently starts at Rs. 6 lakh, ex-showroom and Geza will be 23rd variant of the car in the Indian market ranging across 2 engine and manual and automatic gearbox options.

Renault Kiger
The Kiger in its two-year existence has been one of the more popular cars from Renault in India. Now the brand has refreshed the SUVs variant list with the RXT (O) MT variant which has come with an affordable price tag of Rs. 7.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The car gets features like an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity, LED Head lamps, 16-inch Diamond cut Alloy Wheels and a High Center Console. The company has also launched new offers on higher RXZ version which includes benefits up to Rs. 10,000 in cash, Rs 20,000 under exchange, corporate benefits up to Rs. 12,000 and loyalty benefits up to Rs. 49,000.
Just like the Magnite after the BSVI Step 2 transition, many features were made standard in all Renault models at all variant levels. These include Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The Kiger too has been awarded with 4-Star Safety Rating for Adult Occupant Safety by Global NCAP. The SUV ranges from Rs. 6.50 lakh to Rs. 11.23 lakh, ex-showroom and in all you can choose from 15 different versions.
