People need to stop maligning the image of actors, says Sara Khan

People need to stop maligning the image of actors, says Sara Khan

In the search of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) regarding the drugs probe, several names from the entertainment industry has emerged. Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan had been summoned by the NCB. Besides them, TV couple Abigail Pande and Sanam Johar were also questioned by the agency after their names had come for allegedly procuring and consuming drugs.

 In the interrogation Abigail Pande and Sanam Johar revealed names of tv actors among which two were Sara Khan and Angad Hasija. When contacted Sara Khan regarding her name coming up in the drug probe says that people need to stop making statements without correct information and facts. 

When asked what her reaction was when she got the news, she says ‘”I was really shook! This news is absolutely baseless, and it’s nothing but defamatory!” Several news headlines stated that actors Abigail Jain and Sanam Johar stated Sara and Angad’s name in the drug probe when they were summoned. Reacting to the headlines, she says, “No one took my name! All the headlines are nothing but baseless! It’s just sad how people blindly write about actors. People need to understand how much such baseless news affects a person’s life”

 The NCB started its investigation with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, is now probing the consumption of drugs by Bollywood and television actors.
