SC rejects to stay the demolition of illegal construction by DDA in East Delhi’s Vishwas Nagar. DDA is running demolition drive from 8 am today. It has been said that the petition is filed by the people who will be rendered homeless in such extreme heat. While they have no choice but to stay.
Supreme Court refuses to stay the demolition of illegal constructions being run by DDA in this area. Although the Supreme Court has asked the DDA to stop the work of demolition on illegal constructions for 7 days so that people can vacate the houses.
DDA can again take action against encroachment from 29 May. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to DDA on the question of rehabilitation of people.
The Supreme Court further said, “We will only hear the case of rehabilitation.”
