There were mammooth celebrations near Siddaramaiah’s residence and in his native village in Mysuru district on Thursday morning following the news of his selection as the next Chief Minister. Siddaramaiah’s supporters enthusiastically chanted slogans in his favour upon learning that he would be sworn in as Chief Minister on 20 May.
Since Wednesday, the residents of Siddaramanahundi, Siddaramaiah’s native village, were filled with jubilation upon receiving reports that their beloved leader would once again become the chief minister. The villagers celebrated by lighting fireworks, enthusiastically chanting slogans in praise of Siddaramaiah, and sharing sweets as a gesture of joy.
Expressing confidence, Sidde Gowda, Siddaramaiah’s brother, stated that there was a strong assurance that Siddaramaiah would be selected for the position of Chief Minister.
Sidde Gowda highlighted Siddaramaiah’s track record of serving the people and mentioned his notable achievement of introducing the ‘Anna Bhagya’ scheme, which provides free rice to the underprivileged.
