Way to watch ‘banned ‘ Kerala story

The West Bengal government has banned the screening of The Kerala Story films. Yet BJP leaders from North Bengal found a tactical way to arrange a show for the people, especially for the women of those areas. They are carrying all the women in some buses to the nearby city of Assam, and the Assam Government merrily accepted them to show the film. Women were told that a special film show had been organised in Bangabandhu. Even they did not know which film they were going to watch. But it was a good excursion for them to go on a bus ride and watch a film. In fact, the plan was made by the state BJP Vice President of Schedule Caste Unit, Dasarath Dev, who happened to be in the Marxist Party previously. TMC has made it a political issue by saying that it is proof of how the left becomes friends with the saffron party, popularly called “Baam-Ram” (left-right).

Santosh likely to join NDA
There was a lot of speculation about the veteran backward leader of Bihar, Jibon Ram Majhi, when he recently met Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. Though he has clarified that he is not snapping ties with the JD (U) government, he recently held his party’s ‘HUM’ national executive meeting. His son expressed anguish over the functioning of the Nitish Kumar government. His son, Santosh Kumar Suman, has been elected as the new party president of the state. After the meeting, Majhi said that though Nitish Kumar has given him due prestige, now under the pressure of the RJD, he is ignoring it. They wanted a second portfolio in the state cabinet, which was denied. After that, a lot of speculation was in the air about his joining the NDA.

Congress rescues police officer
Recently, Chief Minister Shiv Raj Sing Chouhan went to address a public meeting in Khandwa. According to the protocol, nobody was allowed to stand on the dais where CM had to come. The local SP did not recognise the son of the influential Forest Minister of the state and literally threw him out of the dais. The son of the minister, Vijay Shah, is vice president of district Panchyet. The SP was under fire. His argument was that he joined the service only three days ago, so he could not recognise the son of a minister. When the minister asked the state chief secretary to suspend him, the state Congress party came to rescue the police officer. And campaigned against the arrogance of the minister.
