103 years old voter thanks EC in Karnataka
Just before the formal voting begins in Karnataka, the Election Commission has already completed voting for electorates who are 80 years of age and older. In Karnataka, for the first time, postal voting for the elderly has started. One of them was Mahadev Bali from Belgavi, who was 103 years old. In most of the elections, he used to go to the polling booth in a wheel chair. This time, officials from the Election Commission went to his house to take his vote. After this, Mahadev was so happy and thanked the Election Commission for allowing him to vote from his residence so that he could cast his vote for his favourite candidate. In return, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar himself telephoned him and thanked him. He said that the Election Commission was so impressed to see his enthusiasm for the state election, saying that ‘a young voter like you should be an inspiration for all the young ones of the state’. EC was surprised to see the enthusiasm of the veteran voters that they feel this time Karnataka may surpass all the previous records of polling

Speculation shows Congress leader Sudip Roy to switch in BJP

The senior-most leader of the state Congress, Sudip Roy Burman, has become silent after the poll. Earlier, he had opened a telephone line for the benefit of Congress supporters, who can contact him over the phone for any urgent matter. It is being told that he switched off the number, but he has opened another number for the benefit of BJP supporters.
