NO TAKERS FOR AAP CAMPAIGN ON DEGREES

As the AAP supremo is embroiled in CBI questioning, the party campaign for politicians to show their educational degrees is finding few takers. Launched after the Gujarat High Court fined Kejriwal for seeking directions for PM Narendra Modi to show his degree, it led to Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar saying that a degree was not a requirement to become the PM. Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Jayant Chaudhary (son of ex-Union Minister Ajit Singh) tweeted: “I have an MSC degree; my father was an IITian; and my grandfather wrote an economic treatise on sustainable and equitable development. But I feel this particular political campaign focused on educational qualifications is elitist and does not befit a party in power in 2 important states!” As for the campaign, the last AAP leader to display his degree was Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on 13 April.
