UP: 2-day National Climate Conclave-2023 inaugurated by CM Yogi

On Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the two-day National Climate Conclave-2023 in Lucknow.
He emphasized the importance of environmental conservation, saying that while progress is vital today, we also have responsibilities to the environment and nature that cannot be overlooked. “Today, we are all facing the negative consequences of mankind’s over-exploitation of nature for selfish ends,” he continued.

The Chief Minister stated during the two-day National Climate Conclave-2023 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, “We are all aware of how environmentally friendly Indian tradition has always been. According to an Atharva Vedic hymn, we are all sons of the ground, and we should all feel related to it. There is no need to explain a son’s obligation to his mother.”
The Chief Minister highlighted the condition of the Sangam river during previous governments, saying that in 2013, the Prime Minister of Mauritius visited Prayagraj Kumbh and, upon seeing the filth on the Sangam shore, bowed down from a distance and returned.

“It was a coincidence that the Pravasi Bharatiya program was held in Varanasi in 2019 and that I had invited the Prime Minister of Mauritius to Prayagraj. When he arrived at the Sangam and witnessed lakhs of people bathing, he took the sacred dip with a delegation of 400 people.”

The UP government, which has designated the forest department as its nodal agency, plans to conduct 35 crore tree plantation campaigns in the first week of July.
“Fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolutions, Uttar Pradesh is becoming India’s growth engine under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, The two-day Climate Conclave 2023 event, which is being held here, will be remembered as a watershed moment in environmental history,”said Union Cabinet Minister of Labour and Employment, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupendra Yadav.
