Both Hindus and Muslims staged a unique protest outside a liquor shop in Madhya Pradesh’s capital, Bhopal. They were demanding the shifting of the shop somewhere else.

In this unique mode of protest, both communities completed their religious duties. Hindus recited Hanuman Chalisa and sold milk; on the other hand, Muslims organised an Iftar to break their fast in the holy month of Ramadan.

The unusual protest took place in Bhopal’s Shahjahanabad area. They first offered roses to the employee of the liquor shop and requested that they shift the shop somewhere else in the city.

People were against the liquor shop in this area because a temple, a mosque, and a gurudwara are located at a short distance from the shop.
